Week’s highlights:
This week was super productive!
I finally finished the kindergarten Spanish book for a prominent pre-school in Pune.
Did the brand collaboration with them to make the content customised just for them.
Blended the book with their academic themes for this age group: My world, my family, and things around me.
Added a "welcome unit" at the start to cover key concepts from last year.
I think this book is one of the best I've designed in terms of the cover design, unit separators, and page layout.
Realised the importance of setting all the formatting before diving into the content.
Now I set up the page layout, font styles, and sizes for everything before starting.
This way, any design or font changes requested by the school can be easily updated throughout the document.
It's such a time saver!
Can’t believe we did nothing of this when we made 21 other books previously! It used to take a lot of our time each time any edits were done.
I love content development and design!
Last week was packed with things to do. There were far too many meetings and classes. Thursday evening onwards my vocal cord was hurting! But it was so satisfying. I wish I had more energy to work more – I love what I do!
LinkedIn post of the week:
I wrote a post outlining my five key observations on why some kids thrive while learning a new language, while others struggle. Why five? Because it's been five years since I started building LinguBee!

Book I am reading: The Palace of Illusions by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni
I love this take on the Mahabharata from Draupadi’s point of view. The Mahabharata is one of the most intriguing stories with so many layers. It appeals to people of all ages and generations, offering something valuable for everyone to take away and apply in their lives.
