Setting Up, Scaling Up

Updated: Jun 29

Small Wins, Big Impact
Small Wins, Big Impact

This past month has been a whirlwind - new beginnings, unexpected hurdles, and valuable lessons. We did the pooja for our new office, a space that still feels like a work in progress. Nothing was fully set up, but we had the essentials - fans, lights, rented chairs, a whiteboard - and most importantly, we started our first two batches.

The Reality of Setting Up

Setting up an office isn’t just about finding a space; it’s about making it work. The initial housekeeping and security situation was overwhelming - too many things to handle alone. After negotiating, we finally outsourced it, bringing in 12-hour security and a 9-hour housekeeping service. It’s a relief to know things will now run smoothly without constant stress.

Quality Over Everything

I’ve always believed that professionalism is in the details. Every aspect - training, design, implementation - needs to be done with seriousness and precision. Oversights don’t just look unprofessional; they create inefficiencies. That’s why I’m focusing on automating processes and ensuring tight quality control. If we want to scale, we need to do it seamlessly while maintaining high standards.

Small Wins, Big Impact

Two of our B2 students got placed - something to celebrate! Apart from the regular daily German sessions -we also kick-started our weekly cultural immersion sessions – through a reading club this time. These small steps help define our identity and ensure consistency.

The Bigger Picture

Looking ahead, I want to deepen my understanding in cultural integration while also staying connected to Spanish - something I’m not using as frequently anymore. This month, we also had our first AOP, which gave me more clarity on cost control, unit economics, and long-term planning.

The Road Ahead

Every challenge so far has been a learning experience - working in chaos :) , streamlining operations, and ensuring that quality remains our defining factor.

There’s still a lot to do, but I like how things are shaping up.
